When I attend virtual co-working and online meetings and workshops and community gatherings, I keep hearing from women that their bodies hurt. I know, mine sometimes does too. I also keep seeing suggestions for self-care that include self-massage. But...HOW?!?? What does that mean or look like??
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (and former biology teacher!) and I am here to help.
You’re invited to join me in a four week LIVE series that will teach you some skills and techniques that you can do yourself, fully clothed, at home, to help your body feel good. I think caring for ourselves and being comfortable in our amazing and beautiful bodies is one of the most empowering things we can be, especially now when things can be just so uncomfortable.
I’ll focus on 4 areas over the four weeks- week 1 will be head, face, neck, shoulders, week 2 will be back, low back and hips, week 3 we‘ll work on ribs, arms and hands, and week 4 will be hips (yes I know I said that twice but hips need it) legs, and feet. We’ll learn a combination of self-massage techniques, stretching, and acupressure points. Class are 1 hour and there will be time and space to address individual concerns. All you need is a mat or floor space, a pillow, a rolled up towel, and a medium- sized stone that feels right in your hand.
You deserve to feel good in your body. Always. I miss massages too, and until I can get myself and my massage clients back in my studio I’m caring for myself. I want you to have those skills - and that POWER.
